Growermetal S.p.A.

Growermetal S.p.A. is an Italian maker of safety washers and industrial washers. It was founded in 1950 and is run by the Cattaneo family, now in its second generation. The company has over 75 years of experience. It has about 200 employees and occupies a site of 50,000 square metres in Calco, Italy.

Growermetal makes over 4,500 standard items to DIN, ASME, NFE and other international standards. It also makes more than 2,500 special parts to customer drawings. Product groups include conical washers, serrated conical washers, flat washers, Grower washers, wedge washers, spherical washers, toothed washers, domed and wave washers, closing plugs and cable clips.

Grower TenKeep safety washers give strong anti-loosening performance in extreme situations. Econical is a green evolution of the standard conical washer. OhmLock is a new washer designed for fixing e-mobility battery packs. Grower SpheraTech is a smart spherical solution developed by the company's R&D lab.

The company handles its production cycle in house. This runs from design through stamping, coining, rolling and surface treatments. Its processes are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and EN 9100. The company also holds EN 9100:2018 certification from the International Aerospace Quality Group.

Aerospace is one of ten sectors the company serves. The others include automotive, railway, oil and gas, agricultural and earth moving machines, wind and solar energy, construction and infrastructure, industrial machines, electromechanics and electronics, and transport.

Growermetal has launched a sustainability project called Greenmetal. The company also takes part in trade events and posts news and press items on its site.
