Getelec

Getelec is an independent French company founded in 1968 that designs and manufactures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding, microwave absorption, thermal dissipation and technical sealing solutions. Based at Buc, near Versailles (CS 34030, 78535 Buc Cedex), it has become a specialist in EMC protection for high-technology electronic equipment and a partner to major industrial groups; the customer logos on its site include Thales, Dassault Aviation, Safran, Thales Alenia Space and Alstom. Products are formulated and produced in its own Getelec Lab research and development laboratory and comply with French and international standards, with design from prototype to large-scale production and an international network of distributors and agents in Brazil, Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom and other markets.

Products

• Electrically conductive elastomer gaskets in conductive silicone, with filler adjusted to the required electromagnetic performance, including the GT FLEX range and the PFAS-free GT5068 EMC gasket
• Bi-material corrosion-resistant EMC seals for use with electrolytic agents, salt spray and acidic media
• GTG thermal gap pads and heat sinks with conductivity up to 10 W/mK
• Microwave absorbers for the L, S, C, X, K, Ku and Ka bands with more than 20 dB absorption and temperature resistance from minus 160 to plus 200 degrees C, available with adhesive backing
• Environmental sealing silicones for equipment under chemical, mechanical and atmospheric stress, and metal shielding products for interference inside equipment

Aerospace and space

In aeronautics Getelec supplies EMC, thermal and sealing solutions for display systems, control units, antennas, IFF devices and in-flight entertainment systems with touch screens, audio, video, internet and telephone services in aircraft cabins. For space it offers a dedicated range for satellites and embedded subassemblies, robotic systems exposed to solar radiation and charged particles, and ground radar antennas, with conductive compounds developed to meet ESA-ECSS-Q-ST-70-02C requirements and a product booklet for the space industry. The company presented new products at the Paris Air Show in 2025 and publishes a technical guide on choosing sealing gaskets.
