Futurhangars
General aviation aircraft maintenance, repair and sales in Spain
About Futurhangars
Futurhangars SL is an aircraft maintenance company at Sabadell Airport, near Barcelona in Spain. It repairs, maintains, advises on and sells general aviation and sport aircraft. It also manages continuing airworthiness for piston, turboprop and turbine aircraft.
The company worked under a JAR 145 licence from February 2003 to April 2005. Since April 2005 it has held an EASA Part 145 approval, numbered ES.145.140. It also holds an EASA CAMO+ approval, numbered ES.CAMO.055. The manager has more than 35 years of experience. The team has worked in Switzerland, France, England, Portugal, Germany, Romania, Finland, Tunisia, Italy and Mauritania, among other countries.
The shop does scheduled and corrective maintenance on almost all piston aircraft on the market. It has wide experience on turboprops such as the Pilatus PC-6, Pilatus PC-12 and Cessna 208B Grand Caravan. It also works on Cessna 500, 501 and 551 jets. It can carry out line and base maintenance on all Pratt and Whitney PT6A engines. It also offers borescope inspections and general aviation component maintenance. A fully equipped mobile workshop lets the team work away from its base.
As a CAMO+, the company manages continuing airworthiness for aircraft operated under SPO, NCC and NCO rules. It handles ARC renewals and ARC recommendations for the aircraft on its approval schedule. It has wide experience with Pilatus PC-6 and PC-12 aircraft and with single and multi-engine piston aircraft.
Futurhangars is an authorised service centre for Pilatus, Continental Diesel and Tecnam. It also names Pratt and Whitney, Textron Lycoming and Continental Motors Group among the brands it works with. The company lists aircraft and spare parts for sale, and the team offers advice on buying an aircraft.
The base is in the north zone of the airport. It has three hangars with more than 2,400 square metres in total. Two joined hangars are 530 square metres each, and a third is 1,340 square metres. The airport has a 900 metre runway at 148 metres above sea level, about 10 km from Barcelona.
The company also runs two official training courses in Spanish and Catalan. One covers auxiliary aircraft maintenance operations. The other covers assembly of structures and installation of aircraft systems and equipment.
