Fly Me 2 LLC

Fly Me 2, LLC is a small flying club built around one Cirrus SR22, N724SR, based in Hangar A4 on the north side of Leesburg Executive Airport (KJYO) in Leesburg, Virginia. The club, formerly Sky Tiger, LLC, was founded and has been managed by Jonathan Towner for more than 20 years. It gives members shared access to the aircraft as an alternative to renting or buying an SR22 outright.

How the club works

• Membership is limited to five pilots, which the club says keeps the operation small, like a partnership
• Each member has guaranteed access to the aircraft for at least six days a month, with additional days subject to availability
• No buy-in and no contracts: members pay a refundable security deposit, a fixed monthly fee and an hourly rate (dry), and can leave with 60 days notice
• No minimum or maximum hours
• Fixed and variable costs are shared between the four or five members, and the monthly fee may change with the number of members
• Online booking for members and online payment of monthly and flight fees by card through PayPal
• Instructors are available for checkouts and the biennial flight review; the club prefers instrument-rated pilots and can help arrange an instructor for pilots working towards the rating

Cirrus

The club's aircraft is a 2006 Cirrus SR22 GTS. The site lists its equipment: full weather and satellite radio on board, airbag seatbelts, semi-portable 22 cubic foot oxygen, CMAX charts and EMAX engine and fuel display on the MFD, dual WAAS GPS, a current Jeppesen subscription for US approaches and low airways, a phone-operated Reiff Turbo XP engine preheater and the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). The site states the airframe had about 1,575 hours total time when the page was written.

Pricing

The club's location page lists membership costs of US$690 a month fixed, US$180 per hour dry and a US$3,000 security deposit refunded after leaving with 60 days notice; fuel, oil and de-ice fluid used during a flight are extra. Rates change; confirm with the company.
