Flitz International

Flitz International is a family owned maker of metal polish, cleaners, polishes and protectants based in Waterford, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1977 by Ulrich Jentzsch and his family, who came to Wisconsin from Germany and started out selling vacuum cleaners; rust and dirt on the metal vacuums led them to metal polish, which they first sold at trade shows. Flitz means fast in German. The company is now in its third generation and says some employees have been with it for over 30 years.

Products

• Flitz paste and liquid metal polish, also used on fiberglass, plastic and paint, in sizes from small tubes to bulk.
• Instant brass and copper tarnish remover, stainless steel cleaner and appliance kits.
• Ceramic sealant and the Clean, Polish, Protect starter kit.
• Glass cook top cleaner and polish, and other household products.
• Buffing balls, microfiber and detailing accessories.

Markets

Flitz serves automotive, marine and aviation customers alongside households, firehouses and Coast Guard stations, and says its products are used on military aircraft. In general aviation the polishes are used on spinners, bare metal and chrome parts, and the plastic polish on cabin plastics. Products are sold through the company's web store, wholesale and retail distribution and commercial orders.
