About El Camino College
El Camino College is a community college in the United States that serves Los Angeles County. It offers everything from quick training to two-year degrees. It also helps students transfer to four-year schools and gives support to students along the way.
Students can choose from several paths. The transfer path helps them move to a four-year university or college. Career Education prepares them for high-demand fields. Dual Enrollment lets high school students earn college credit early. Community Education offers lifelong learning for all ages. The college lists many areas of study and keeps a catalog, a class schedule and an academic calendar. Students can also take online and digital classes.
Support services are a big part of the college. The Warrior Welcome Center helps new students register. Other services include counseling, a transfer center, a library, financial aid and support for pregnant and parenting students. International students have their own admissions page. The college also lists support and success programs, including the Puente Project, which has served students for 40 years.
Student Health Services offers outpatient care to enrolled students. Services include treatment for injuries and illnesses, mental health therapy, immunizations, medications, lab testing and chiropractic care. A student health fee covers most services, and no insurance is needed. A Center for Well-Being and student wellness ambassadors support healthy habits on campus.
The college is also a hub for cultural, arts and academic events in its community. It has theatres, an events calendar and an event rental service. In November 2026, it served as an official Los Angeles County vote center.
Recent news shows the college at work. Its cybersecurity team ranked in the top 12 percent nationally in the National Cyber League competition. The El Camino College Foundation gave more than $1 million in scholarships to more than 675 students, the second year in a row above that mark. The college district holds an Aa1 credit rating from Moody's, and the college has joined the Achieving the Dream network.
