About Donecle

Donecle is a company that automates aircraft inspections with drones. Its system is made for airlines and maintenance organisations. It also serves military operators and business jet owners. The company says its drones fly the inspection with no pilot and no GPS signal.

The product is called Iris. The drone uses laser technology to scan the aircraft surface. Software then studies the pictures and builds reports on defects, lightning strikes, paint wear and placards. Reports and past inspections are kept on a cloud platform to build a digital history.

Donecle says its method is ten times faster than current ways of inspecting. A full inspection takes less than one hour. It says the system is the first drone solution approved by aviation authorities and listed in the Boeing and Airbus maintenance manuals.

The company was founded in 2015 by aviation professionals. It says it has a team of more than 20 people, over 1000 flights with its drones and 10 patents filed by its co-founders. It holds EN9100 and ISO 9001 certification. Customers include airlines, third party MROs, aircraft makers and military operators.

News on the site covers a joint test with JAL in Japan and work with AkzoNobel on coating inspections. The website offers a demo request, a brochure and a contact form.
