About Delta TechOps

Delta TechOps is an airline maintenance company that supports Delta Air Lines. It also serves more than 150 other aviation and airline customers around the world. The company describes itself as the largest airline maintenance, repair and overhaul provider in North America. It has nearly 100 years of maintenance experience.

Its work falls into three main areas: engine maintenance, component maintenance and line maintenance. Engine work covers CFM56, LEAP-1B, PW2000, PW4000, PW1100G and PW1500G engines. It also covers Rolls-Royce Trent and BR715 engines, GE CF6 engines and Honeywell auxiliary power units.

The company is one of eight global OEM authorized service providers for the LEAP-1B engine. That engine powers the Boeing 737 MAX. Delta TechOps says its operator view helps customers keep fleets fully utilized in a cost effective way.

Component maintenance is carried out in 25 in-house component shops. Line maintenance covers everything from routine turnaround checks to overnight inspections and repairs. The company says it gives customers access to the parts, tools and equipment they need.

The engineering group has more than 400 engineers. They provide 24 hour support for in-service aircraft, including fleet engineering and operations engineering. Operational reliability teams work with customers on complex issues. Technical experts are also on call around the clock to help with troubleshooting.

Military services support domestic and foreign customers through engine and APU work, inventory and component repair. Complete Fleet service designs a maintenance program for military customers. Support services include logistics, engine leasing and special services for the company's own fleet.

Training is offered at the main center in Atlanta, with classrooms at MSP, DTW and SLC airports. Courses meet ATA 104 Level 3 guidelines. The company says it has been EASA Part 147 certified since 2002. It also holds FAA Part 145 repair station certificates at Atlanta and Minneapolis, EASA Part 145 approvals for both sites, and an Argentine ANAC Part 145 approval.
