Long-range fixed-wing drones for defence, surveillance and mapping

About Delair

Delair is a French manufacturer of long-range fixed-wing drones and aerial sensors for industry, defence and mapping, building all of its aircraft in a dedicated 1,500 square metre production facility in Toulouse. Founded in 2011, the company has produced several thousand drones over its first decade, now operated around the world for border surveillance, reconnaissance, intelligence, special operations, infrastructure inspection and surveying, and in 2012 it unveiled the first drone certified for beyond visual line of sight flights in civilian airspace to carry out power line inspections. Its observation drones have carried the Origine France Garantie label since March 2023.

Products

  • DT46, a long-endurance multi-mission drone for inspection and surveillance of large land and sea areas, deployed in under 30 minutes by two people and convertible in the field from fixed wing to VTOL in minutes without tools; delivered to the French Army's mountain artillery in 2025 and ordered by the Gendarmerie nationale
  • DT26 family, including the DT26E Surveillance day and night long-range solution with video tracking, geotracking and a 30x optical zoom, the DT26 open payload version and the DT26M, with swappable payloads such as gyro-stabilised dual EO/IR sensors and military band telecommunications
  • UX11 mapping drone with an in-house designed industrial RGB camera, offered as the UX11 IR with an additional infrared sensor, and the DRAKO universal ground control station

Security and defence

Delair has supplied security and defence customers for ten years; its drones flew thousands of hours in Ukraine with the OSCE to monitor the security situation and are used by local forces in Niger for surveillance and protection of territory. The security and defence team is made up of former French military personnel and supports convoy protection, perimeter monitoring, reconnaissance, assault and exfiltration phases with real-time mapping and silent aircraft operating between -15 and +50 degrees Celsius.

Manufacturing and services

The Toulouse team covers industrial painting, composite lamination, electronics soldering and mechanical assembly, with a quality department following aeronautical industry methods from incoming inspection to delivery and more than 500 changes managed through a PLM system. Delair offers contract manufacturing from prototypes to thousands of units a year, engineering services for hardware and software development, and a support team managing a worldwide fleet with tens of thousands of flight hours. Reference customers include ERDF and the SNCF drone division, and partners shown on the site include Bpifrance, Aerospace Valley, GICAN and the French maritime cluster.
