About Cyprus Airways

Cyprus Airways is the flag carrier of Cyprus. Its hub is Larnaca International Airport. From there it connects Cyprus with Europe and the Middle East. The site says it flies a modern fleet of Airbus A220 and A320 aircraft, six in all, four A220 and two A320.

The airline says it was founded in 1947 and served as a national symbol for nearly seven decades. After a pause, the brand returned in 2016 when Charlie Airlines won a tender for the Cyprus Airways name. It received its air operator certificate and began commercial flights from Larnaca in 2017. In 2018 it passed the IATA Operational Safety Audit and joined IATA. It is also a member of the European Regions Airline Association.

The history page also covers the owners. In 2024 a group of local investors bought a minority stake. In 2025 that group became the majority shareholder.

The homepage shows fares from Larnaca to places such as Athens, Heraklion, Milan, Beirut, Rome, Tel Aviv, Paris, Munich, Venice, Dubai and Barcelona. A new route is announced from Larnaca to London Stansted, daily from 23 April 2027.

Passengers can search flights on the site, and it also links to hotels, ferries, car rental, parking, transfers and eSIM products. The contact page lists a call center number, +357 24 00 00 53, and request forms for tickets, refunds, baggage claims, charter requests and group bookings. A careers page is also listed.
