CSA Aviation

CSA Aviation (Pty) Ltd., trading as Cirrus South Africa, is a Cirrus sales, maintenance and flight training company at Lanseria International Airport (FALA), Johannesburg, South Africa. It describes itself as Africa's only Platinum Cirrus Authorised Centre.

About the company

All three divisions, sales of new and pre-owned aircraft, flight training and maintenance, work from the company's hangar at Lanseria, and it also offers aircraft management. Visitors need an airside access permit from the airport permit office, open weekdays 08h00 to 16h00. Hours are 07h00 to 18h00 on weekdays, with training also on weekends and public holidays from 08h00 to 17h00.

Flight training

CSA is an authorized Cirrus Training Centre and platinum partner in the Cirrus training network. Its instructors are evaluated by Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots and take recurrent courses every 6 months. Training runs from PPL to CPL. The fleet includes:

• Cirrus SR20 aircraft with Perspective+ Garmin 1000 or Avidyne avionics, and a Cirrus SR22
• A Beechcraft BE55E for twin training
• A Stinson S180 for tailwheel ratings
• FNPT II simulators: an Alsim 170 and a Simuflight Aviamec

Listed rates (updated 07.10.2024) are ZAR 3,730.43 ex VAT for SR20 dual, ZAR 3,469.57 for SR20 rental and ZAR 1,626.09 for the simulator with instructor, with fuel and landing fees included at FALA.
