About Colorado Airport Operators Association

The Colorado Airport Operators Association, known as CAOA, serves the owners, operators and users of public airports in Colorado. It is based in Eagle, Colorado, and was established in 1982.

CAOA gives airport operators a unified voice with state and federal agencies. It speaks to the Colorado legislature and to Congress on proposed laws and rules. The site says it promotes safety in airport facilities and operating procedures.

The association runs conferences and training programs. The site lists a winter conference, spring conferences and past conference records. It also runs an AGL maintenance seminar on airfield lighting, scheduled for September 15 to 17, 2026.

Membership has several types. Airports can join as general or commercial members, and pricing is based on aircraft and enplanements. Businesses can join as corporate members. Students get special pricing for conferences.

Members get access to a member portal, meeting agendas and minutes, and presentations. The site says members can share their own announcements and news. It also gives a forum for updates from the Colorado Division of Aeronautics and the FAA.

The site lists an annual sponsor group and an annual sponsorship program. It has internships and scholarships, a jobs page and public resources, including FAA weather cameras.

The association manager is Erinn Hoban. The phone number is 970.343.0043. The mailing address is PO Box 6012, Eagle, CO 81631.
