CloudAhoy
Flight debriefing and analysis software for pilots, Lexington, Massachusetts
About CloudAhoy
CloudAhoy offers data driven post flight debriefing software designed for pilots, flight instructors, and aviation enthusiasts. The platform captures and analyzes flight data to help users visualize flight paths, altitude, speed, and other key metrics. Every flight becomes a learning opportunity through detailed replay and analysis tools.
The software serves student pilots working toward certificates, certified flight instructors providing objective feedback, and experienced pilots seeking self improvement. Recreational flyers also use CloudAhoy to relive flights and share experiences with passengers, friends, and social networks. The platform supports both individual learning and collaborative instruction.
CloudAhoy accommodates fixed wing aircraft, rotorcraft, and gliders. Users can examine individual maneuvers with automatic segmentation and decluttering tools. The system provides maneuver scores and identifies problem areas for focused training. For approach analysis, the stabilized approach feature scores performance and displays altitude and airspeed versus distance.
Pilots who fly under instrument flight rules use CloudAhoy for training and currency. The software automatically identifies instrument approaches and compares the flight path to published FAA approaches. Color coded two dimensional and three dimensional overlays show lateral and vertical accuracy. Profile views display waypoints and help pilots check altitude at selected points such as the final approach fix.
The platform supports international operations with worldwide VFR and IFR charts from SkyVector. Users can access U.S. sectional charts, international VFR charts, and IFR low and high altitude charts. These display in both two dimensional and three dimensional views with satellite photos and topographic overlays for flights anywhere in the world.
CloudAhoy imports data from a broad range of sources. Pilots can log flights using the CloudAhoy iOS app or integrate with ForeFlight, FlyQ EFB, Garmin Pilot, and SkyDemon. The system also reads data from external devices including Bad Elf, DualGPS, Stratus, Sentry, and Stratux. Avionics support includes Garmin G1000, G3000, G3X, Cirrus Perspective, Avidyne IFD, Dynon EFIS, and GRT EFIS. Simulator pilots can import flights from Redbird, X Plane 11, Prepar3D, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. KML, GPX, and IGC files are also supported.
Sharing features allow pilots to post flights on Facebook and Twitter, email links to friends and instructors, or embed flights in blogs. Auto sharing options send flights to copilots, instructors, or students. The platform offers touch optimized iPad views and glass gauge overlays for flexible debriefing experiences.
