Cleveland National Air Show

The Cleveland National Air Show is an annual air show held at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, Ohio. It runs over Labor Day Weekend. The show features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and military jet demonstrations, along with aerobatics and parachuting.

The air show is run as a financially self-sufficient, not-for-profit organization. Ticket sales directly support event production costs. Tickets and on-site parking are sold only in advance online. The site says there are no gate sales.

The show started with the National Air Races from 1929 to 1949. The current air show has run from 1964 to the present. The site says the show celebrated 60 years in 2024. It draws 60,000 to 100,000 spectators, and an equal number watch from parks, beaches, buildings and boats on Lake Erie.

The site says the air show draws attendees from more than 45 states and several countries. It calls the show Northeast Ohio's largest military event. All branches of the Armed Forces are invited to take part. World Airshow News Magazine named it Air Show of the Year.

The organization is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit with a volunteer board of 35 leaders. The site says it supports local community services and charities with $50,000 to $75,000 each year. Its mission is to continue a tradition of hosting an internationally recognized aviation event in Cleveland at no cost to the community.
