Capital Air Services is a helicopter charter and management company with more than 30 years of operation in the UK and Europe. It began in 1994 as Oxford Air Services and later took the Capital Air Services name. The company says safety and confidentiality have always been its priorities.

The charter fleet is three Airbus H145 D3 helicopters, each able to carry up to nine passengers. The third H145 D3 has recently joined the fleet. The aircraft are used for private travel, business trips and VIP journeys, with a focus on comfort and privacy.

Private helicopter hire covers business and leisure trips across the UK and into Europe. Enquiries and bookings are taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The team handles the planning so clients can avoid road traffic and travel direct to their destination.

The company also manages helicopters for private owners and takes on the work of running a flight operation. It advises buyers who are thinking about buying a helicopter, using its experience in aircraft purchase and finance.

Social and sporting events are a major part of the work. Flights are arranged to race meetings, motor racing circuits, concerts, festivals, shooting and golf courses. Corporate jet services are also offered, and the team can arrange security chauffeurs, bodyguards and close protection.

Capital Air Services operates under its own UK air operator certificate, GB2049. Its pilots are instrument rated, and their training includes simulator work and in flight checks by CAA approved examiners. The company is a member of The Air Charter Association.
