Cabinair Group

Cabinair Group is an aviation holding company headquartered in the United Kingdom. Its origins are in Cabinair Services, which was established in 2006 and opened a facility on Blackhorse Road in Letchworth in 2014. The group now brings together six specialist companies with operations in the UK, the USA, Latvia, Sri Lanka and Italy. It describes its model as keeping each company's identity while sharing approvals, a commercial network and services.

Cabin work

The group designs and builds aircraft interiors and keeps them maintained through on-wing support and work in its UK and US workshops. The range includes:

• Seats, including repair and overhaul
• Carpet kits and sidewall refurbishment
• Galley repairs
• Soft furnishing manufacture
• PSU and cabin component support
• Interior panel lamination
• Lightweight crew rest mattresses
• Aircraft interior survey services, covering lease transition inspections, certification and compliance checks, damage mapping, retrofit feasibility studies, VIP and business jet surveys and fire retardancy audits

Other group services

Creative and 3D design for aviation, engineering, design and certification, aircraft component repair and overhaul, FAA approved interior repair in the United States, and plastic and composite interior repair. A subsidiary named AeroKnow provides engineering and certification support for exterior liveries and decals under Part 21J.

Approvals

The companies hold CAA Part 145, EASA Part 145, FAA Part 145, TCCA CAR 573, EASA Part 21J design and Part 21G production approvals, GCAA approval and AS9100D.

Projects

Recent projects listed include maintenance support for Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft for TUI Airways and 17 sets of lightweight crew rest mattresses delivered to Virgin Atlantic.
