Airline Services Interiors is an aircraft interior company based in the Sharston Green Business Park near Manchester Airport in England. It has served the aviation industry for more than 30 years and has been part of the Lantal Textiles group since 2018. The company designs, manufactures and certifies a range of aircraft interior components, and it handles interior, seat and in-flight entertainment work from one site.

Design and certification

Under its UK Part 21 approval the certification team handles:

• Cabin layout changes (LOPA)
• Carpet layouts and safety equipment layouts
• Retrofit of in-flight entertainment in seats
• In-seat power
• Seat cover changes in fabric and leather
• Reverse engineering of OEM seat parts
• Track mounted monuments, stowage, dog boxes and cabin dividers

The team prepares modification packages, test plans and test witnessing, and arranges static, abuse load, cyclic, delethalisation or full dynamic testing where needed.

Approvals

• UK CAA Part 21 Subpart G production approval and Part 21J design approval
• UAE GCAA design organisation approval
• UK CAA Part 145, EASA third country Part 145, FAA repair station and Transport Canada approvals
• UKAS testing laboratory accreditation for flammability testing of plastics and fabrics
