About AVIONIX ENGINEERING

Avionix Engineering makes aircraft surveillance and tracking equipment in Poland. Its products pick up and show the position of aircraft, drones and ground vehicles. Customers include airports, air navigation providers and aviation software firms.

The company was founded by computer scientists, hardware engineers and aerospace engineers. They bring more than 20 years of experience in air traffic control and the airport industry. They focus on systems that are reliable, user friendly and fairly priced. The company says its mission is to develop solid and reliable aircraft systems.

Its receiver and ground station range includes an ADS-B ground station built to the ED-129B standard and an outdoor ADS-B and multilateration receiver station. It also makes a six-channel receiver, a Mode A, C and S interrogator and a UAT978 ground station. The openAir line includes multitrack, drone-cube, hotspot and flightcase units. The company says it now fully supports ED-129C. It has also installed UAT ground stations in Finland, Norway and Switzerland.

Its tracking devices include the AERO Tracker, an ADS-B vehicle tracker, a FollowMe beacon, an OGN tracker, a dual-band ADS-B-in receiver and an LTE tracker. For display, it offers a traffic situation display, a traffic data analyzer and a traffic data monitor.

The company also sells test and data tools. These include an ADS-B traffic simulator, ASTERIX data fusion, SSR frequency monitoring, an SSR message simulator and an ED-129B compliance test suite.

Avionix hosts the AERO Network, a group of receiver stations that share data. It also offers hardware and software development services. It takes part in the EASA-led ADS-L coalition and says it was among the first suppliers to offer ADS-L Issue 2.

The company lists QinetiQ, CroControl, Flightradar24, SafeSky and Frequentis among the organisations that have trusted it. It exhibits at the AERO show in Friedrichshafen and sells its products through an online shop.
