About Astra Ultra
Astra Ultra is a software company in Denver, Colorado, that builds AI decision tools for space operations. Its customers are satellite operators, defense organizations and space insurers. The company says its tools tell users what to do next, not only what happened.
Every output is meant to be prescriptive, explainable and traceable. Each score and recommendation comes with its reasoning, so the people who are accountable for a decision can stand behind it. The tools fit into the ground and command systems that operators already run. They do not need a full replacement of those systems.
The first product is Kavari, an AI mission co-pilot for satellite operations. It reads telemetry continuously and flags trouble before an alarm goes off. Specialist AI agents then work in parallel to find the root cause. Kavari gives a plain-language action that says what is wrong, why it happened and what to do. Humans stay in control. The agents cover areas such as power and thermal, communications, fault management, mission risk and maneuver safety.
The second product is Pythia, which predicts threats in orbit. It simulates tens of thousands of plausible co-orbital maneuvers and scores the risk of each one. This surfaces the highest-risk futures before they happen. Pythia starts with kinetic kill vehicle threats and can extend to rendezvous and proximity operations, spoofing and jamming. It rolls 18 indicators into intent, engagement success and severity. The company says it is in active operational deployment and backed by active government contracts. It can run alone through an API into command and control systems, or inside Kavari as a threat agent.
Astra Ultra serves three groups. Constellation operators get health monitoring and response advice before a contact window closes. Defense and intelligence teams get ranked, documented threat scores. Space insurers get structured telemetry intelligence about asset health. The company reports pilot planning with a large satellite operator.
Buyers can book a live demo of Kavari or Pythia, a short intro call or a technical deep dive.
