APS

Aircraft Propeller Service, LLC (APS) is the OEM licensed propeller overhaul facility for Collins Aerospace (Hamilton Sundstrand) propeller systems in the Americas and Asia. It repairs and overhauls the 568F, 14SF, 14RF and 247F propeller models fitted to ATR, DHC-8 and CASA CN235 and C295 turboprops, and describes itself as the preferred maintenance solution in IATA regions 1 and 3. The company reports more than 70 years in the propeller MRO business and is based in the United States, with a managing director for Asia Pacific.

Manufacturing

The AS9100 certified manufacturing division makes high precision and high volume parts with a full in-house process from engineering to final testing. Equipment includes Haas VF-4 three-axis and UMC-750 and UMC-1000 five-axis machining centres, a Miyano CNC lathe, KSI seven-axis Swiss automatic lathes and Hydromat rotary transfer machines. Processes cover anodising, chrome, hard alloy and corrosion resistant coatings, EDM, heat treating, laser part marking, roll formed threads, burnishing, brush plating and Level 3 non-destructive testing by MPI, FPI, eddy current and ultrasound.

Approvals

Approval logos shown on the site include FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAAM and AFAC. APS says its customer service representatives and technical staff are co-located and on call, and that its IT tools give customers real-time visibility of production status.
