About Ailand Systems

Ailand Systems is a Ukrainian company that develops smart autonomous drones, with a focus on humanitarian demining and military unmanned aircraft.

The company combines hardware and software. Its core focus is situational awareness and autonomy. It says that once these two problems are solved, drones can do tasks that need human-level perception.

Its flagship product is the Spinner, which was formerly called ST1. It is an autonomous drone made for humanitarian demining in Ukraine. It carries visual and subsurface sensors and detects all types of landmines, including low-metal-content models. Ailand says it finds mines up to 20 times faster than manual inspection. The Spinner EOD version has a camera, a metal detector and an AI model trained on more than 400,000 images of landmines. It can work day and night. It was the first Ukrainian mine-detection drone to be codified under the NATO Codification System, and it passed testing by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

The company also makes Raptor, a multi-purpose UAV. Raptor is approved for operational use and has a NATO Stock Number. It offers flight endurance, range, high image quality, powerful zoom and resistance to electronic warfare. It can detect targets automatically, navigate without GNSS and resist dust and water to IP55. Its arms fold and its batteries are smart, which cuts set-up time. Raptor can be bought through the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace.

Ailand worked with the Japanese company Prodrone on a joint demining solution. Field trials took place near Kyiv as part of a UNIDO project, with partners DroneUA and PADECO. The tests showed that Ailand's metal detector can be fitted to third-party drones.

In January 2026 the company delivered a Spinner EOD drone to demining teams in the Irpin community. A crowdfunding campaign paid for it. Ailand was also named in the Top 100 Rising Ukrainian Startups list.
