Agena Space

Agena Space is a French NewSpace company founded in 2022 and based near Bordeaux that develops green liquid propulsion systems for small satellite mobility, in-orbit services and space operations. Its stated ambition is to make space more agile, sustainable and accessible by bringing more volume and mass faster and further into space at lower cost. The team combines managers with aerospace and defence industry backgrounds with engineers and recent graduates.

RocketPack

RocketPack is Agena Space's green liquid propulsion system, designed for demanding in-orbit mobility and agility requirements: fast last-mile deliveries and orbital transfers, controlled re-entry, rendezvous and proximity operations, reaction control and attitude control. It is versatile and scalable, can be integrated on satellites, spacecraft and launch vehicles, and is available in three sizes; RocketPack S and RocketPack M are offered as off-the-shelf products for rapid integration, with standardised, customised and autonomous configurations.

Conveyor

Conveyor is the company's orbital transfer vehicle (OTV) for in-orbit services, with performance derived from the standard RocketPack characteristics. Together with its propulsion products, Agena Space offers in-orbit transportation services and mission support across the space value chain for commercial, institutional and defence customers.

Approach

By controlling the full development chain, the company can deliver individual propulsion products or complete end-to-end mission solutions, and it describes its products as flight-proven and supported by engineering expertise. The RocketPack catalogue is continuously developed to increase power and performance. Agena Space positions itself as one of the centres of excellence for next-generation green liquid propulsion and recruits engineers who want to work on sustainable space propulsion.
