About Aéroclub de Monaco
The Aero Club de Monaco is a flight training club based at the Monaco heliport. The site says it is one of Europe's oldest aviation clubs. It was established in 1941 and has trained Monaco students with professional pilot courses since then.
The club began as a model aircraft group. The site says the first real flight took place in 1943, in a glider with dual controls. Members began flying low power aircraft after the Second World War. Helicopter training was added in 1976.
The club offers PPL(H) training for helicopter pilots. The site says the course needs at least 45 flight hours, with 10 of them solo, to qualify for a PPL(H). It offers type conversion courses for the Robinson R44, Bell 206B JetRanger III and Colibri EC120, and for other types.
The club also offers a mountain flying rating for PPL(H) holders. The course starts with a short ground briefing and then flights. The site says it gives pilots experience in mountain environments.
The academy is fully accredited under the approved training organization of Let's Fly Cannes and under EU rules. The site offers a 30 minute test flight lesson for first time students. It says training can be set around each student's own schedule.
The club has members from many nationalities, according to the site. It says it operates a fleet that includes R44 helicopters and access to larger aircraft through joint ventures. The site also lists a membership page and a member login. The club says membership is a way to network with other members.
The club's phone number is +377 92 05 33 33. Its address is the Monaco heliport at 15 Avenue des Ligures, Monaco. The site lists working hours from sunrise to sunset every day. It has a contact form and links to Instagram.
