Helicopter transfers between Nice and Monaco

Monaco has no airport, so most visitors arriving by air land at Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) and finish the trip by helicopter. The flight from Nice airport to the Monaco Heliport takes about 7 minutes; the same journey by road takes 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.

The Monaco Heliport

The Héliport de Monaco is in the Fontvieille district, behind the Stade Louis II. It opened in 1976 and is run by Monaco's Direction de l'Aviation Civile. Passengers flying out of Nice can check in at the heliport for domestic and most international departures before the short hop to the airport.

Operators

  • Monacair, founded in 1988, runs the regular line between Nice airport and Monaco, departing every 30 minutes during the day, as well as private and panoramic flights. Its fleet includes the Airbus H125, H130, H135 and H155, the Bell 429 and the AW109, with further bases in Cannes, Annecy and Saint-Tropez.
  • Héli Air Monaco, founded in 1976, flies private transfers from Monaco and the Riviera to France, Italy, Switzerland, Corsica and Sardinia, plus scenic flights. It has carried more than 3.5 million passengers and operates from Monaco, Nice and Saint-Tropez.

Published fares in October 2026 for a seat on the shared line between Nice airport and Monaco, one way: €190 with Héli Sécurité, €195 with Monacair and from €195 through Blade. Héli Sécurité listed private Monaco to Nice flights from €750 as an indicative price. The allowance on its helicopters is typically two suitcases and four light bags. Private transfers are priced per flight and depend on the helicopter type and number of passengers, so ask the operators for a quote.
