Aero MD

AeroMD is an air ambulance provider based in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. It says it is the only air ambulance service based in the Caribbean and runs a dedicated medevac service from the islands, with medical evacuation also available worldwide. Aircraft and medical team

AeroMD uses business class jet and turboprop aircraft converted into flying intensive care units. A flight carries a patient stretcher, a seat for one companion, a critical care nurse, and a respiratory therapist or paramedic, plus two pilots. The aircraft carry ventilators, defibrillators and IV pumps, and satellite phones link the crew to the receiving hospital.
