Aegis Plating

Aegis Plating is a French group that treats the surface of metal parts for the aeronautics, space, defence, naval, energy and industrial sectors.

The group describes itself as a major name in metal surface treatment in France. It offers 90 different treatments to more than 3,000 customers. Its sites are mostly in the west of France, and it widens its area each year. Having sites close to customers is part of its offer.

Its treatments fall into five families. These are electrolytic treatments, chemical treatments, conversion treatments, painting and heat treatments. The group also has a research and development team and laboratories. This team lets it work on complex, high-technology parts.

Aegis Plating is made up of several specialist sites. ALS applies paint and does microbead blasting. Farges Anodisation treats aluminium with classic sulphuric anodising to protect against corrosion. Vendée Électrolyse and Servé specialise in zinc plating. LRB Roulier treats aluminium and its alloys, with hard and decorative anodising. Angers Nickel Chrome is the only group site that offers hard chrome. Bretagne Chrome works from a 3,000 square metre site and serves energy, industry, farming, decoration, automotive and medical customers.

Other sites focus on aviation. SECO makes technical parts for aeronautics, space and defence. It has the widest range of treatments in the group and five types of inspection. Galvanotec has specialised since 1996 in chromating on aluminium and other technical coatings. ASA Finitech treats aluminium parts, with corrosion protection, brightening and pickling before welding. TSA Finitech applies paints.

The group also holds quality approvals. In February 2026, LRB Roulier gained ISO 9001 and EN 9100 certification, which covers aerospace quality standards. The group says it works with major names in French and international industry. It also lists environment, certifications and qualifications as part of its quality work.
