Advanced Armor Engineering

Advanced Armour Engineering (AAE) is a defence contract manufacturer and armour engineer in the United Arab Emirates. It works from design through to production for the defence, security, aerospace and transport sectors. Its company name is Advanced Armour Engineering FZCO.

The company says it has reached its tenth anniversary. It works with large defence firms as a contract manufacturer. It focuses on manufacturing, design and survivability. Its parts range from standard architectural screen plates and chassis parts for transport vehicles to critical armour components and hull structures for armoured vehicles.

AAE cuts, bends, welds, machines, assembles, paints and coats parts, and it integrates glass and composites. It builds complex mechanical products from quench and tempered steel. Its manufacturing services include laser cutting, bending and forming, welding and fabrication, machining and surface finishing.

Its engineering and survivability work covers design and optimisation, production tooling, qualification, ballistic protection and simulation. It supports clients from prototype design to series production and delivery. It works with special grade steels, including Armox, Ramor, Mars, Safe, Bisalloy, Miilux and Swebor.

AAE also sells its own products. The BlastRider seat has a stroking blast mitigation system that protects occupants from the first blast and from secondary impacts. It offers modular set-ups and several mounting options for military vehicles. AAE also makes armour kits and door systems for armoured defence and security vehicles, and self-sealing fuel tank protection that uses polymer technology.

Its wheel protection kit is made for the risk that small arms fire flattens vehicle tyres. Under licence from the Australian firm W&T Platt, AAE makes weapon mounts for land and naval platforms.

The company holds an ISO 9001:2015 certificate. It also takes part in the UAE In-Country Value programme.
