Addvalue is a Singapore satellite communications technology company that develops satellite-based communication and digital broadband products and solutions, organised around the idea of digital connectivity as a service. Listed in Singapore and a constituent of the MSCI Global Micro Cap Indexes Singapore index, it has extended its connectivity capabilities into aviation and the new space industry, building on embedded system design on software-defined radio platforms. The business is organised into four segments: space connectivity, advanced digital radio, satcom connectivity and strategic design services, with revenue from hardware sales, solutions and airtime, and design fees. Addvalue is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

IDRS inter-satellite data relay

• IDRS gives low Earth orbit satellite operators on-demand, two-way IP links to their spacecraft at any time through Viasat's ELERA L-band geostationary network, for telemetry, tracking and command and mission data transfer
• Developed with Viasat as a lightweight terminal suitable for satellites below 50 kg, and first flown on the sub-12 kg Velox-II satellite after thermal vacuum and anechoic chamber testing
• Customers and partners include Vast for Haven-1 space station connectivity, D-Orbit's ION in-orbit infrastructure-as-a-service missions, Space Inventor's maritime surveillance satellites and SpeQtral's quantum-secure satellite services, with a joint programme with Viasat to simplify real-time inter-satellite connectivity for US government fleets

Products and design services

Addvalue's satcom products include the Wideye iFleetONE approved vessel monitoring terminal for fishing fleets, the SIMPLYTRACK location tracking service, the SABRE Ranger 5000 for smart IoT connectivity and hybrid LoRaWAN plus satellite M2M solutions for remote assets such as automatic weather stations. Its design services draw on competencies in radio design, including L-band high power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and antennas, embedded design with FPGA engineering and DSP, AI and edge computing, product design to IPC Class 3 standards for defence and space, and flexible outsourcing models. Addvalue is a member of the Mobile Satellite Services Association.
