On 5 November 2026, Wheels Up Experience Inc. said it signed a definitive agreement with Embraer to purchase six factory-new Phenom 300E light jets. This is the first time Wheels Up will purchase new aircraft directly from Embraer. The company is based in Atlanta, is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and sells private jet memberships and on-demand charter flights.

Agreement details

The six jets are due for delivery in the second half of 2027. Wheels Up did not give a price. Each aircraft will arrive with satellite Wi-Fi installed. All Phenom and Challenger jets in the Wheels Up fleet already have satellite Wi-Fi. The agreement follows nearly three years of talks between the companies about new aircraft.

Fleet and growth

The six new jets will join 29 Phenom 300 and 300E jets and 15 Bombardier Challenger 300 series jets that Wheels Up controls itself. With the new arrivals the Phenom count will rise from 29 to 35. Wheels Up completed its fleet modernization programme earlier in 2026, more than 18 months ahead of schedule. The company says more than 1,500 people joined its Signature membership programme in its first year. CEO George Mattson said the decision "reflects the strong demand trends we are seeing in our business" and he called Embraer a valued partner for years. Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said planning to bring new Phenom 300E aircraft into the Wheels Up fleet started in 2024. The companies describe the Phenom 300 series as the world's best-selling light jet for more than a decade. Wheels Up has a strategic partnership with Delta Air Lines, and customers get travel benefits on Delta through it.
