Yas Holding

Yas Holding is an investment company based in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. It has a multi-industry portfolio in aviation, healthcare, real estate, technology and ventures. Its companies work across the Middle East and Africa. The group invests in sectors that it says deliver sustainable growth.

Yas Holding Aviation is a strategic player in the UAE's aviation, aerospace and defence sector. It offers joined up capabilities that protect airspace, support resilient communications and improve operations in civil and defence areas. Its products and solutions include air traffic control, airspace design and optimisation, aeronautical and meteorological information services, aviation training and simulation, aircraft and helicopter solutions, engineering and consultancy.

Global Air Navigation Services, or GANS, is the aviation division's base for air traffic management, surveillance and aviation operations. It works on modernising airspace systems for safe and efficient flying. In November 2025 it signed a memorandum of understanding with ADIO on advanced air mobility in Abu Dhabi. The company eshara works on satellite communication. It aims to design and make satcom terminals in the UAE for land, naval and airborne use.

In healthcare, the group works to improve the patient journey. In February 2026, Mubadala Bio took full ownership of two Yas Holding Healthcare companies, IDS and GMSC. In real estate, its Taraf business builds design-led homes and communities, and in December 2025 it launched Fay Hills with Masdar City. The technology division gives organisations tools to innovate, and the ventures division invests in different asset classes.

The group was set up in 2005 as Emirates Advanced Investments, with a focus on defence industries. It moved into agriculture and food in 2009 and 2010, and into construction in 2011 and 2012. After it set up a civil aviation business, it began a partnership with Abu Dhabi Airports Company in 2013 and 2014.

In 2015 and 2016 its major defence businesses moved to Emirates Defence Industries Company, and the group was restructured into divisions. It took the name Yas Holding in 2017 and 2018. Its five remaining defence companies moved to EDGE in 2019 and 2020. Later years brought deals in pharmaceuticals and real estate, and in 2023 and 2024 the group sold its agriculture division and some healthcare companies.
