Xovis

Xovis is a Swiss company that makes sensors and software for tracking people flow. The site says its headquarters is in Bern, Switzerland. It serves airports, transport operators, retailers, building managers, museums, live events and libraries. Its 3D sensors count people, detect queues and measure how full a space is.

Airports are a main focus. The company offers a Passenger Flow Management System that follows travellers from curb to gate, according to the site. It also offers airport software for queue management and passenger counting. The site describes its APF sensor series as built for onboard public transport, with more processing power for origin and destination insights.

Retail, transport and building customers use the same sensor family. The site says the sensors can be added to existing counting systems. Its examples include queue detection, check in interfaces, fill level measurement and gender statistics. For retail, the site describes view direction analysis that shows how shoppers look at displays.

The site lists case studies. One covers a retailer, Tom Tailor, and how it used Xovis data to improve store performance. Another covers Rock Region METRO, a US transit agency that cut its National Transit Database reporting time by 75 percent. The site also describes an airport passenger flow case study in Europe.

The site says the hardware and software are Swiss made. It says they count people accurately while following data protection rules. The company also runs an integrator partner program called the Xovis HUB. The site says the program is built for the long run.

The company lists offices in Bern, Berlin, Boston and Gurugram. The Bern office is at Industriestrasse 1 in Zollikofen. The site lists the Swiss number +41 32 342 04 70. It also has a press page, a blog, events, careers and a newsletter sign up.
