UP Aerospace INC

UP Aerospace Inc is a space launch and flight test service provider. The company is based in Denver, Colorado. Its launch facilities are at Spaceport America in New Mexico, which the site calls the world's first purpose-built spaceport.

The company was created in 1998 by its founder, Jerry Larson. It was incorporated in 2004. The site says the company has conducted suborbital launches from Spaceport America since 2006. Its SpaceLoft launch vehicle was designed as a reusable launch vehicle to keep launch costs low.

The company is developing a larger suborbital vehicle for longer microgravity time and bigger payloads. It is also developing hypersonic missions above Mach 10. A hypersonic rocket called Spyder made its maiden flight in June 2025 at White Sands Missile Range, according to the site. The site describes an orbital vehicle called Spyder for small satellites in development with NASA.

On November 19, 2025, the company launched SpaceLoft-18 from Spaceport America. The site says it was the company's fifth separation and deployment mission. The payload carried a deployable heat shield built with Los Alamos National Laboratory, Redwire Space and NASA Ames. Recovery crews flew out on a Blackhawk helicopter to retrieve the payload.

The site says engineering offices are in Denver. The company designs and builds its own avionics, separation systems, recovery systems and flight hardware there. Payloads are integrated with the launch vehicle in Denver before a Combined Systems Test and shipment to the launch site. At Spaceport America, a launch control center and a payload processing facility support each mission.
