About Ultimate Warbirds

Ultimate Warbird Flights sells passenger flights in historic fighter aircraft from Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton, United Kingdom. The site calls it the longest standing supplier of Spitfire flights, and says it has operated since 1985. It also flies a two seat Mustang and a two seat ME109.

The Spitfire flights use ML407, known as The Grace Spitfire, which the site says saw combat in World War 2. Flights run from Sywell or London Oxford. The site says the P-51D Mustang is the only two seat, dual control Mustang in the UK, and that its ME109, a Hispano Buchon called Red 11, is the only two seat, dual control example flying passengers anywhere in the world.

Guests can take a flight in one aircraft or choose an extra. One add on lets a friend or loved one fly in formation with the Spitfire, the Mustang or the ME109. The company also plans premium warbird experiences on request, for people who want something beyond a single flight. Tiger Moth flights are available from Sywell, linked to the Thomas Castle Aviation Heritage Scholarship. Every two seat aircraft carries a 360 degree camera, and a video package is sold as an extra.

The aircraft page lists other types the company has access to. They include a Supermarine Spitfire FR XIV, a Spitfire Mk.Vc, a Hawker Hurricane Mk.I, a Hawker Fury FB.11, a Republic P-47D Thunderbolt and a Lockheed 12A Electra.

The website shows starting prices for each flight and says flexible payment options are available. Visitors can book online, call 01604 800 570 or use the contact form. The office address is The Spitfire Blister at Sywell Aerodrome. The company also runs a mailing list for news.
