UAE Contractors Association

The UAE Contractors Association is a non-profit trade body for construction contractors in the United Arab Emirates. It has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. It speaks for its members and helps them grow.

The association was formed on 15 September 1985 under a decree from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Its main goal is to strengthen the UAE construction industry and the contracting business. It wants contractors to keep playing a positive role in the country's development. One of its aims is to help members keep upgrading the technology they use.

Its vision is building for sustainable development. It works to raise the standard of the contracting profession through a better construction industry. It also coordinates its members and represents them before the relevant authorities in the UAE and abroad. It promotes good customer service management and modern technology.

Companies can join the association as members. It keeps a membership list and publishes the benefits of joining. It also offers advertising, e-magazines and a directory of contractors. It links to the UAE Tender Gate for bids. In its news, it has announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi Insurance Brokers, which offers services to members. It also signed an agreement for a strategic partnership with the UAE Business Platform.

The association holds general meetings for members. It held its 35th in November 2021 at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and its 39th on 2 April 2026 online. Dubai Municipality also held a construction market resilience workshop with its members on 23 April 2026.

The association supports and promotes industry events across the region. These include Big 5 Global, the Roads, Bridges and Tunnels MENA Conference, Light and Intelligent Building Middle East, RISE Summit, Construction Technology ConFex, the International Property Show and the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit. It also shares news about Airport Show 2026 in Dubai and offers training such as a 20-hour FIDIC contracts course.
