About Transport
The Transportation Security Administration, known as TSA, is a United States government agency. Its site says it helps travelers with security screening procedures, travel tips and programs such as TSA PreCheck. The site footer says it is an official website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The site explains what travelers can pack in carry-on and checked bags. It has guidance on the liquids, aerosols and gels rule, a travel checklist, and advice for children, seniors and military families. TSA Cares helps people with disabilities or medical conditions get help at the checkpoint.
The site explains REAL ID requirements. Travelers without an acceptable ID can verify their identity through TSA ConfirmID, but they must pay a fee. The site also covers identification, required documents, digital identity and claims.
TSA PreCheck offers a faster screening route for enrolled travelers. The site lists enrollment locations, renewal, fee rebates, a Known Traveler Number lookup tool, checkpoint schedules, participating airlines and touchless ID.
The site has a section for industry. It lists airline programs, aviation programs, cargo programs and general aviation. It covers airport screening, baggage screening, exit lanes, the Crewmember Access Point, a screening partnership, and an industry portal. It also covers flight training security, the HAZMAT endorsement and counter drone work.
The site posts press releases, factsheets and testimony. It publishes passenger volumes for each year from 2019 to 2025. It reports that David P. Cummins has been confirmed as the new TSA Administrator. The site also covers the TSA strategy, its history and its canine program.
The contact page lists a customer service contact email, and a lost and found service.
