About Tram-Tek

Tram-Tek is a precision machining company that makes parts from prototype to production. It machines parts from raw stock, castings and forgings. Materials include aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and plastics.

The company was founded in 1975 by Moe and Jacque Cowin. It started in a garage and grew into a 25,000 square foot facility. After Moe's passing in 1997, Jacque led the company. The site says she expanded its capabilities.

Machining resources include 12 CNC machining centers with 3, 4 and 5 axis capability and seven CNC turning centers. The shop also has grinders, honing equipment, manual lathes and mills, and a Sinker EDM. A Zoller tool presetter is also on site.

The spring department makes compression and leaf springs, belleville washers, wave washers, snap rings and wire forms to aerospace tolerances.

The company is ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 certified. It offers AS9102 first article inspection documentation. Inspection is run from a central quality area with Mitutoyo and Zeiss CMMs and optical comparators.

The site says the company serves aerospace and defense customers. It handles any lot size and specializes in prototypes and first run parts. Finishing is handled through trusted outside suppliers.

Contact is by phone at (602) 305-8100 or through the contact page on the site.
