The Air Charter Association

The Air Charter Association (ACA) is the trade association for companies engaged in aircraft charter. Its website says it was founded in 1949 and calls itself the worldwide association for the sector, based in the United Kingdom. Members include air charter brokers, aircraft operators, airports, manufacturers and FBOs, consultants and closely connected suppliers. The association says it represents the whole charter market, from helicopters to light jets and larger aircraft, and it reports more than 450 member companies across the globe.

What the association does

The ACA says it supports its members through compliance guidance, best practice, training and careers, networking and events, lobbying and mediation. Its stated primary aim is to keep a high standard of conduct in the charter market and to promote integrity and ethical business practices, so that members can deal with each other, and clients can deal with members, with confidence. Members carry an Accredited Member Seal that clients can look for when choosing a charter company, and there is a searchable membership directory.
