Terracon

Terracon is a consulting engineering and science firm that specialises in environmental, facilities, geotechnical and materials consulting and engineering services. The company says it is 100 percent employee-owned and has more than 200 locations across the United States. Its engineers, scientists and consultants support projects across their whole lifecycle, from site selection and design to construction and asset management, above ground and below.

Services range from environmental consulting to geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and facility engineering. Airport work

Terracon's transportation and infrastructure work includes a long-running airport programme. Since 2011 its Salt Lake City office has worked with the Airport Redevelopment Program at Salt Lake City International Airport, a key hub that needed expansion and renovation without disrupting daily operations. The company supported construction of terminal facilities, concourses, utility infrastructure, parking structures, roadway improvements and airfield components.

The site reports that Phase 1 of the redevelopment opened on schedule in 2020 and Phase 2 followed in October 2023. A later project update says the central tunnel between the two concourses has been completed and opened, along with Taxiway G and the Midvale Tunnel.
