About Tailwise

Tailwise is an aircraft ownership platform for owners, partnerships, flying clubs and aircraft managers. It is operated by Nuckols Aviation LLC and is based in the United States. The platform brings readiness, maintenance tracking, documents, scheduling, flight logging and finances into one place and runs on desktop, iPad and iPhone. The site says it was built by working aircraft owners around their own workflows.

Features

  • Aircraft readiness: a single Ready, Caution or Not Ready status built from maintenance status, document expirations and reservations
  • Maintenance tracking: annuals, 100-hour inspections, ADs, oil changes and recurring items tracked by hours and by date, colour coded
  • Digital vault: scanned logbook pages, mechanic invoices and AD compliance records, searchable, with expiry reminders for documents
  • Flight logging after shutdown: Hobbs, fuel, expenses, squawks and notes in one workflow, with squawks passed to maintenance
  • Scheduling for partnerships: weekly calendar with multiple owners, utilisation, conflict detection and one-tap reservations checked against readiness
  • Finance and reporting: business and personal expenses by category with receipts, a year-end tax package (PDF and CSV), business versus personal use by hour and dollar, and a Schedule C-ready export
  • Reminders such as "Annual Inspection due in 30 days", with a link to book maintenance with nearby A&P mechanics
  • Fleet dashboard for aircraft managers, with status, upcoming maintenance, reservations and readiness for every tail number

Plans

Published plans are Individual Owners at $19.99 a month, Partnerships (2 to 4 partners) at $49.99 a month, Aircraft Managers at custom pricing, and Flight Schools listed as coming soon. Every plan is one subscription per aircraft with a 30-day trial and no credit card. A Concierge Setup service at $250 one time builds the account from the owner's documents, logbooks and maintenance records, with a typical turnaround of 3 to 5 business days after the records arrive (rates change; confirm with the company).
