About Spectrum Networks

Spectrum Networks was founded by long time aerospace industry professionals. The company works to improve lighting and wireless connectivity in aircraft cabins. Its stated mission is to enhance passenger experience and safety with in cabin technology.

Its advanced lighting systems include COB LED cabin lighting designed to follow circadian rhythms. The company says the lighting supports passenger comfort and well being during flights. Its lighting products are made under an aerospace quality system.

The Spectrum Smart Outlet is an aviation power outlet with internal GFI technology and local and remote control. The company describes it as a compact, ruggedized unit that streamlines power distribution in the cabin.

LaserLiFi links use light to carry data at higher speeds than traditional Wi Fi, according to the company. The site says these links offer strong security and high bandwidth. The company says LiFi is a way forward for wireless connectivity in aircraft.

Far UVC lighting gives continuous air and surface sanitizing in the cabin. The company says the technology helps neutralize airborne pathogens. Its goal is to prioritize passenger health with continuous protection systems.

The company uses carbon fiber infused 3D printing to make custom drop in replacement parts. These parts reduce aircraft integration effort and downtime. Production runs on Markforged printers, including several X7 Industrial Series units and two large format FX10 systems. In 2024 the company produced more than 10,000 printed parts.

Parts are built for 14 CFR 25.853 flammability requirements and for single lot material traceability. Materials include Onyx, a carbon fiber filled nylon, and flame retardant Onyx FR, with optional continuous carbon fiber, fiberglass or Kevlar reinforcement. Project Beacon uses pre stocked hardware to shorten lead times for operators.

The company is assessed to ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D by Perry Johnson Registrars for the design and manufacture of aerospace lighting products. The company says it produces parts for one of the largest aerospace focused 3D printing operations in the Pacific Northwest.
