SPACETIDE

SPACETIDE is a general incorporated association in Japan that works across the space industry. It acts as a neutral industry hub that helps solve problems shared by companies in the sector.

Its work rests on four ideas: co-creation, industry research, talent education and business creation. It works with government bodies, industry and universities to support steady growth of the space industry.

The Community area creates places for discussion and co-creation. Its programmes include an Annual Conference and a Space Industry Workshop.

The Knowledge area delivers organised information about the industry. COMPASS is its space business research report. The group also takes requests to quote or reuse COMPASS articles and charts, and requests for interviews and speaking.

The People area aims to speed up the flow of talent into the space industry and to train it. Its programmes are Career Connect and an Academy. SPACETIDE Career Connect 2026 Summer was for people who want to move into the space industry, and it took place in Toranomon, Tokyo, on 26 September 2026.

The Innovation area aims to create ambitious new businesses. It includes AXELA and Space-Enabled World. In 2026 the group opened sign-ups for S-Booster 2026 DEMODAY and Business Matching, an event on 7 December that connects space startups, investors and companies.

Companies, groups and local governments can work with SPACETIDE in several ways. A sponsorship programme has run since 2018 and uses yearly contracts. Partners can also share their know-how and resources, or speak at the conferences it organises. People with professional skills can join its pro bono team. SPACETIDE also runs a newsletter.
