Space Hub Yorkshire

Space Hub Yorkshire is a space cluster in Yorkshire, United Kingdom. It was created in 2020 after a funding call from the UK Space Agency. Since then it has received more funding from the agency, Leeds City Council and the Satellite Applications Catapult. In 2025 it became an official delivery partner of the UK Space Agency.

The cluster is a partnership. It includes four regional government partners with a combined population of 5.5 million people. It also includes 12 higher education institutes, 15 local councils, government agencies and a network of commercial and industrial firms.

The site describes the space sector broadly. It covers Earth observation satellites, telecoms, satellite navigation, the design and build of planes, rockets and satellites, aerospace materials, data analysis and the people who work in these jobs.

For businesses, the cluster offers access to networks, funding, skills, knowhow, markets, supply chains and research. For academics it offers collaboration and industry links. For educators it offers talks and resources. For students it lists jobs, careers advice, internships, paid work and training.

The cluster runs several programmes. These include the Virtual Space Campus, Raising Aspirations, Careers in Space, the SHY Intern Network and Space Skills for Schools. It also runs the Space Enterprise Lab and projects called N-ACT, GreenSpace, UK-EONS and Space North. The site lists the Defence and Security Accelerator as a funding route.

The site posts news. In October 2026 it reported the UK Space Strategy and the 2026 Space Sector Skills Survey. The survey is led by the UK Space Agency. A team page and a contact form let visitors reach the cluster team directly.
