Southern Manufacturing Technologies, Inc., known as SMT, is a precision machine shop in Tampa, Florida. It makes complex machined parts and assemblies. Its main markets are aircraft, aerospace, defense and medical. Its work includes flight safety-critical hardware. The company is registered to AS9100 and ISO 9001.

The shop specializes in tight tolerance precision machining. It says its sweet spot is parts from under one inch up to eight inches in size. It has six CNC horizontal mills. Three of them run on a 23 pallet flexible manufacturing system, and one has its own six pallet changer. This setup lets the shop run lights out, so the mills keep cutting when no one is on site.
