About Skyhawk Aviation

Skyhawk Aviation is a small flight school at Tököl Airport, just outside Budapest. It is an EASA Declared Training Organisation, HU.DTO.0007, and trains on a modern Pipistrel Virus SW 121 with a Garmin glass cockpit, autopilot and a ballistic parachute.

Training

  • EASA Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
  • Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL)
  • Night VFR rating
  • Upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT)
  • ICAO to EASA PPL conversion for pilots with a non European licence
  • Introductory flights for people who want to try flying

Hour building

Mentored hour building packages help future professional pilots log the hours they need for a CPL. The flights include international cross country trips across Europe. The school puts it simply: breakfast in Budapest, lunch on the Italian coast.

Aerial advertising

Skyhawk designs and tows advertising banners over Lake Balaton and other parts of Hungary.

Aircraft

The Pipistrel Virus SW 121 is an EASA type certified two seat aircraft with a dual screen Garmin glass cockpit, constant speed propeller, airbrakes, autopilot and a rescue parachute. The school notes it is also the official trainer of the Indian Air Force and Navy.

Where they fly

Tököl Airport has a long concrete runway and is easy to reach from Budapest.
