About Skyflyte

Skyfly makes the Axe, an electric hybrid vertical lift aircraft. The site says it is built for private pilots, training and defense markets. The aircraft is called the Axe VCA. The site says orders are open for delivery in 2027.

The Axe takes off and lands without a runway, like a helicopter, and cruises like a plane. The site calls it a manned drone. Listed numbers include two seats, a 5 metre wingspan, a 1.9 metre rotor with four fixed pitch blades, and eight 35 kW motors giving 280 kW peak. Maximum take off mass is 750 kg and useful load is 200 kg. Range is over 100 nautical miles and cruise speed is 87 knots. The cockpit has a 270 degree view.

The company says the aircraft has zero CO2 emissions in flight. It says the aircraft is quiet and cannot be heard from 600 metres. It also says running and maintenance costs are much lower. The site suggests flights from a garden or private land to a holiday home.

Buyers can reserve an Axe for 1,000 pounds plus VAT. A 10% deposit of 29,500 pounds plus VAT secures a build slot. A 65% payment starts the build, and the last 25% is due on delivery. The site has an order button and a contact form.

News on the site says the company secured 10 million dollars and took the Axe to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2026. It also signed a letter of intent with the Florida Department of Transportation for a US operations hub at SunTrax. The company has opened its electric propulsion technology to aircraft makers and shown a hybrid propulsion system for unmanned aircraft.
