ShinMaywa Industries

ShinMaywa Industries, Ltd. is a Japanese industrial group whose five core businesses are special purpose trucks, parking systems, industrial and environmental systems, fluids (pumps) and aircraft. Its Aircraft Division builds the US-2 search and rescue amphibian aircraft and manufactures aircraft passenger boarding bridges, and the group also offers wire processing, vacuum coating and surface modification equipment, and DD motors.

Aircraft

• US-2: an amphibian aircraft used by the Japanese Ministry of Defense for rescue and support operations at sea and on remote islands, described on the site as the world's highest performance amphibian
• Maintenance of the US-2, P-3C derivative aircraft and related equipment for the Ministry of Defense, carried out by group company ShinMaywa Iwakuni Aircraft Maintenance, Ltd.
• JAMS Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Marubeni Aerospace established in February 2024, providing business jet maintenance for a range of aircraft types
• Research and development on future aircraft and composite materials

Passenger boarding bridges

ShinMaywa's PAXWAY passenger boarding bridges serve aircraft at airports every day, and the company provides after-sales support to keep them in safe and reliable use. ShinMaywa Aerobridge Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and other group companies support this business overseas.

Group

The group has subsidiaries and sales offices across Asia, North America and Mexico, including ShinMaywa (America) in El Paso, Texas, ShinMaywa (California) in Torrance, ShinMaywa (Asia) in Singapore, companies in Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, India and Taiwan, and Korea Vacuum Limited and TurboMAX. The group states that it contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, endorses the TCFD recommendations and publishes long-term and medium-term management plans for investors.
