About Saje Aerospace

Saje Aerospace makes precision mechanical hardware for aircraft and spacecraft. The company was established in 2022. It is a woman owned small business in Connecticut's Aerospace Alley. It holds AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certification. These are quality standards, and AS9100D is the one used in aerospace.

The company focuses on mechanical fastening systems. It supplies and services aircraft makers, first and second tier suppliers, hardware distributors, space and satellite makers, the military, aftermarket repair shops and airlines around the world. It says it aims to meet or beat expectations on time and at a fair price.

Its hardware range is wide. It lists bushings, bearing liners, spacers, pins, inserts, brackets, washers, jam nuts, clips, straps, rods, sleeves, receptacles and panel fasteners. It builds parts to NAS, AS, MS and maker standards. It also does build-to-print work, which means making a part exactly to a customer's drawing. The site lists standard parts for Bell, Collins Aerospace, Lockheed Martin and Boeing St. Louis.

Saje says it is an approved supplier to Boeing commercial airplanes, Bombardier, Airbus Canada, Bell Textron, Spirit AeroSystems, Turkish Aerospace and SpaceX, among others.

The production plant is in Bloomfield, Connecticut. It covers 12,000 square feet. It has an on-site testing laboratory. Production is run with ERP software, which tracks orders and work. Machines include CNC lathes and Swiss CNC turning machines with live tooling, and the shop also deburrs, cleans and polishes parts.

The company works in many materials. These include 17-4PH, 15-5PH, A286, Nickel 718, 321 CRES, aluminum nickel bronze, copper nickel tin, beryllium copper and other super alloys. It can apply finishes such as zinc nickel, aluminum coating, chrome, cadmium and passivation to AMS and NAS specifications.

On the engineering side, the team uses SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Fusion 360 and AutoCAD. It also offers rapid prototyping with 3D printing. The website has a line card of standard parts and a page on conditions of sale and warranty.
