SafeSmart Aviation

SafeSmart Aviation is part of SafeSmart Access, a United Kingdom maker and supplier of height access equipment. It designs and builds stairs, work platforms, ladders and access systems for aviation and many other industries. The company delivers across the UK and Ireland.

The product range includes access ramps and walkways, aluminium scaffolding, edge protection, ladders, portable stairs, work platforms and truck access systems. It also sells scaffolding parts, add-ons and accessories. Mobile work platforms and mobile scaffolding are part of the range.

Aviation is one of the industries the company serves. Others include construction, interior fitout, mining, manufacturing, logistics and distribution, infrastructure, defence, trades and transport. The company has built custom products for many years, including aircraft access platforms and truck loading platforms. It holds large stocks of standard products such as step ladders, platform ladders, mobile scaffolding and edge protection.

The company controls the whole process in house. This covers design, engineering and manufacturing. It says this gives quicker project times and less downtime. Its facility is ISO 9001 certified. It also says its products are made to meet or exceed relevant British safety standards.

Services include custom design, manufacturing, installation and after-sales support. Specialist design staff can help with turn-key work, from design and specification to manufacture and delivery. After-sales help covers documents, training and replacement parts. Installation covers a complete offsite to onsite service for height access systems, including commissioning.

SafeSmart Access works from locations in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. It also has clients in Asia.
