About Rimas Engineering

Rimas Engineering supplies industrial 3D printing technology from Italy. Its range covers 3D printers, 3D scanners, software and post-processing equipment. It also gives technical advice, installation, training and support. The company works with industry, research groups and technical studios.

Rimas offers a multibrand range of printers, scanners, software and materials, with more than 50 materials available. Brands it carries include Formlabs and Markforged. A featured product is the Formlabs Fuse X1, a large-format industrial SLS printer. It has a build volume of 330 by 330 by 565 mm, a 120 W ytterbium fiber laser and a layer thickness of 110 microns. The company says the workflow can be set up and started in one hour with no dedicated operator. Another new product is the Form Studio 1 professional resin printer.

The company offers technical consulting and application tests. It reviews goals, limits and production needs to find the right technology for each use. Services include tests on real applications, technical and cost reviews, and help with choosing a solution. Customers can buy equipment or choose operational rental, which can start in up to two days.

After the sale, Rimas supports customers from start-up to full operation. This covers workflow analysis, training for the customer's team, hands-on technical help and ongoing improvement of production.

Rimas serves manufacturing, engineering, medical, automotive, aerospace, footwear, fashion and nautical customers. Uses range from functional prototypes to final parts. In manufacturing, 3D printing can make jigs, fixtures and custom tools on demand. Customers named by the company include a dental parts maker, a consulting firm and a special machines group.

The company also takes part in events and shares industry news. It attended the Automation Days in Caivano in September and ran a webinar on elastomers in 3D printing. It also announced Onyx GF, a Markforged nylon filament reinforced with glass fiber.
