About Poseidon Aerospace

Poseidon Aerospace is a company developing unmanned cargo aircraft. It aims to carry freight for regional commercial air cargo and for defense logistics in contested areas. The company says it wants to lower the cost per flight ton mile, which would change what air freight costs.

It has two aircraft in development. Egret is an unmanned fixed wing plane with an advanced composite airframe. The site says it can carry about 4,000 pounds over 1,650 nautical miles. It has a nose door with a ramp and a rear cargo door, and a flat floor that works with forklifts. It can use paved or unpaved runways.

Heron is an unmanned seaplane. It has no seats and no landing gear, and it can take off and land on almost any body of water. It has a payload of 4,000 pounds and a wingspan of 51 feet. Both aircraft are flown by a remote pilot and can work with autonomy.

The news section reports that Poseidon raised 11 million dollars in November 2025 and a 60 million dollar Series A in September 2026. The reports say the money will help build unmanned cargo aircraft and prepare for a first pilotless test flight.

The website has pages for commercial and defense customers, a careers page, a news page and a press kit. A contact form lets visitors pick the commercial team or the defense team.
